I adore the cool aesthetic behind Development, a Los Angeles based label, with a distinctly European feel. An added bonus the main designer is Erica Davies, a fellow Welshwoman - which would explain the more contemporary look. After a stint with MaxMara, Erica has a great pedigree and has bought that eye for great tailoring into Development. I love the contrasting styles - high waisted, drop waisted, trapeze. the main fashion feature that sells this collection to me...the stunning fabric mixes. Silk with linen, cotton with chiffon - the stunning close-up of the chiffon/voile blouse below and the clean, crisp lines, is all the evidence I need. See the full spring/summer range here.
