I'm off to Valencia for the weekend, so no posts until next week. I'm going to meet up with some friends and see the amazing Fallas festival. Fallas is a true spectacle that fills Valencia with papier-mâché caricatures, that take one year to create and are then burned in the culmination of the festival, the "crema", this Sunday. Everyday of Fallas week there is a "mascleta", a daytime fireworks display that is a celebration of noise rather than light (see below). Find out more about Fallas here. More posts Monday.
